First Day kicked off with various facilitators taking the Governors through various topics to ensure smooth running and overseeing operations of the Institute. The Facilitators of the day were Ruth Mounde, covering Mwongozo; leadership skills, roles and responsibilities of members and chairperson, code of conduct. Samuel Muka, covering Supplies Chain Management in TVET, which is a crucial aspect in TVETs as it is stipulated in the legal framework, the roles played by the Principal as the Accounting officer and Board Members clearly stipulated in the development of procurement plan. The final facilitator of the day was Dr. Andelina Mugure covering the TVET Financing which includes capitation, the old model and clearly stipulating the new model and how the financing will go a long way to handle the shortcomings of the old model of capitation.
