Turning Passion into Prosperous Enterprise: Ologi Stephen Achachi's Aquaculture Success. Ologi Stephen Achachi's journey is a shining example of how education combined with determination can translate into entrepreneurial achievement. An alumnus of RIAT Institute, Ologi had a vision to make his mark in the aquaculture industry. In 2020, he took the enterprising first step by starting a small fish farm operation with just one cage of 2,500 fish capacity. However, Ologi's ambition was much greater. His hard work, expertise gained at RIAT, and innovative ideas caught the attention of the Israeli government, which provided him a generous grant of 1,500,000 Kenyan Shillings through the Israeli Embassy. With this vital funding, Ologi rapidly expanded his aquafarming business into a thriving enterprise known as RIAT Aquafish Group - named as a nod to his alma mater. Today, the company operates an impressive seven large cages with a total capacity of 10,000 fish species and employs three people. As the founder and CEO of RIAT Aquafish Group, Ologi has demonstrated how passion, perseverance and the right education can spawn remarkable success. His entrepreneurial spirit has not only created economic opportunities but is also inspiring the next generation of RIAT alumni.
