Ramogi Institute of Advanced Technology (RIAT) is one of the pioneer technical training institutes in Kenya. RIAT is in Kisumu County on Lake Victoria’s Eastern shores at the tip of Winam Gulf, a strategic position in the East African Community due to its accessibility to the regional countries of Burundi, Rwanda, Tanzania, and Uganda. The organizational philosophy of RIAT is translated in practical terms by the local word “RIAT,” which forms the acronym for the Institute. “RIAT” means acting in unison, acting together, in the same way, at the same time. At its inception in1971, this philosophy was operationalized in mobilizing the immediate RIAT Community and Kenya’s people to act together to raise funds that were utilized to establish the initial infrastructure...

While undertaking Portfolio of Evidence assessment within Nyanza region, culminating at RIAT by PS TVET Dr. Esther Muoria . She was graciously welcomed by BOG members, Management team, Staff and trainees with songs and dance by our Music Team (Best Technical Training Institute in Kenya winners).

Dr. Esther Muoria emphasized on the requirement of industries experts to be involved in the assessment and verification of the trainees POE as enshrined in CBET curriculum. In ensuring the achievement of POE, RIAT has established sustainable collaborations with various Government and Non-Government agencies, industry, development partners and the community; providing adequate exposure to the trainees on quality and relevant market-driven skills for life.
