Gorvenment of Kenya (GOK), through Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (MoALF) established a Youth Agribusiness Centre (YABIC) at RIAT in 2019. African Development Bank (AfDB), the financier of this project, led by the project task manager, Dr. Mohamoud Egeh visited the Institute for a supervisory mission to monitor and evaluate the progress of the YABIC. He was accompanied by the MoALF Project Implementation Unit (PIU), led by Mr. Frankline Mwiti and Agriculture Finance Corporation (AFC) led by Mr. Bonano Badia. The 12-member team was welcomed warmly by the Chief Principal , Maren Omondi (Mrs), the Deputy Principal administration, Mrs. Lynette Odhiambo, Deputy Principal Academics, Mr. David Omondi and the YABIC manager, Madam Nancy Oloo who is the Deputy Head of Agriculture and Environmental Studies Department and Madam Maureen Ojwacka who is an agriculture trainer. The YABIC manager, Madam Nancy Oloo made a brief presentation on the project milestones and the whole team took to their feet to the project sites.
