Clothing & Textile

CLOTHING AND TEXTILE DEPARTMENT

Every person uses and comes in contact with a variety of textile products each day. Everyone is concerned with the selection and maintenance of these products. However knowledge concerning the myriad textiles products available to or used by individuals in today’s world is increasingly difficult to evaluate and clarify and thus, to use intelligently. Therefore the only way to achieve this ability is through knowledgeable awareness of technical data and an understanding of how to use these data.

Knowledge of chemical physical and microbiological properties of fibres and of the behavior that results from techniques used in creating fabrics guides the trainees in making wise selections when purchasing textiles products. Knowledge of proper maintenance techniques for the many of fibres fabrics and finishes helps ensures satisfaction after purchases.
