This office deals with the production of reputable and quality examinations for termly and yearly evaluation of all the students. It has a well planned and executed system. The system runs within an environment of full accountability, transparency and respect for the principles of natural justice.
The Examinations office is under the office of the registrar and has THREE major functions, thus:
ISSUANCE OF ACADEMIC DOCUMENTS;
The following are mandatory before issuance of any document:
1. Clearance form
2. National ID
The above documents can only be issued to the rightful owner and not to a second party.
At the end of the year verification of the candidates’ qualifications is done by the Kenya National Examination Council.
Registration of candidates is done after completion of that terms school fees and exam fees.
Later, the KNEC releases the printout with names of candidates who are registered. The purpose of the printout if to enable candidates make
Corrections of any errors in their names, course or any omission.
The draft timetables are then released for the candidates and lecturers to point out any content error or error of omission.
According to the KTTI Examinations Rules and Regulations on examination procedures “ the Head of Department should ensure that there are examination papers per subject in the bank one month to the start of the examinations”.
These papers are typed and proofread at the Examinations Office.
PROCESSING OF EXAMINATIONS
Exams results are processed and cross-checked by the examination officer before release.
Upon release of the results the Examinations Officer authorizes Registrar to prepare certificates for candidates who sat for Final Internal Examinations.
